Arcam, a GE Additive company, provides cost-efficient Additive Manufacturing solutions for production of metal components. The technology offers freedom in design combined with excellent material properties and high productivity.[1] The market is global with customers mainly in the orthopedic implant and aerospace industries.

Featuring some of the most advanced additive technologies available, machines from Arcam EBM enable customers to grow products quickly and precisely. And since they’re capable of achieving high levels of accuracy, even on intricate shapes and geometries, these machines open up new design possibilities across a multitude of applications. The patent portfolio consists of 200 patents/patent applications belonging to 56 different registered patent families.

In September 2016, General Electric Company announced its plans for acquisition of Arcam AB, Arcam represents with Concept Laser the additive manufacturing business unit of GE.

Arcam AB (publ) was delisted from Nasdaq Stockholm on 26 January 2018 and is no longer a public listed company. Following the delisting, the company will not update or publish financial information or other corporate information, other than as required by law.

GE Sweden Holdings AB (“GE”) holds more than 90 percent of the shares in Arcam and has initiated compulsory buy-out proceedings to buy-out all minority shares in Arcam.[2]
